Bread from Heaven

For those who follow the Revised Common Lectionary, August gifts us with a four-part series from John 6. It’s one of Jesus’ long teachings in the aftermath of the stories of Jesus feeding a huge crowd and walking on water. It introduces basic themes and metaphors that John uses to interpret the feeding of the 5000.

To follow the series each week, view our “Monday with Jesus” videos on YouTube which include a telling of the story followed by Q&A commentary. We send out emails on Monday morning (hence the name “Monday with Jesus”) with a link to the video along with some brief comments, a verse or two from the story, graphics, and sometimes a “bonus” item.
