Telling the Book of Ruth in conjunction with an event on immigration was a good example of integrating biblical storytelling with social justice work. The event was sponsored by the Miami Valley District of the United Methodist Church. It took place on Nov. 3 and was hosted by Grace UMC in Dayton, Ohio. The telling was part of worship, followed by an immigration simulation, discussion, and dinner. The telling was organized by Susan Bennett and featured tellers from Grace by Heart.
